For professional soccer fans all over the country, the off-season is rapidly coming to an end. That’s great news for the community of Columbus, OH. The Columbus Crew of the Major League Soccer (MLS) are set for their home opener to be played on March 22, 2014 at 6 p.m. versus the Philadelphia Union. The match is being played in Crew Stadium with ticket prices ranging from $23-$50. Family Section seats are now available for the 2014 season with special visits to the section from the Crew Cat and the OhioHealth Crew Action Team
New Era Begins for the Crew
The wonderful community of Columbus has always shown great support for their Crew and have been rewarded with several major titles in the past decade including the MLS Cup in 2008. After not qualifying for the MLS playoffs in 2012 and 2013, the Crew will look to get back into the fray under new Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. In 2013, the team saw an increase in fan support as average attendance rose from 14,397 to 16,080 per game. The stadium has a capacity of just over 20,000.
Columbus: A Great Sports Town
