For those that missed Hilliard’s special Flag Day event in the historic Weaver Park Village, make sure you’re ready to attend next years event. Last Monday (June 10th), residents gathered for a fun summer evening and showed off their national spirit. Great food and exciting activities were just a small part of the Hilliard’s Flag Day celebration. Everyone got to munch on mouth-watering barbecue, listen to live music (including the Military Band), and play thrilling games. There were also educational tours of the chapel, schoolhouse room, historic log cabin, and the Hilliard Station. If you love all things military, there was an exhibit for enthusiasts to tour. In addition, there was a 5k run to help support military families.
