Goodale Park

Nestled between the Short North and Victorian Village, is Goodale Park. It is the oldest park in Columbus, Ohio and the oldest park in the United States. Residents and visitors enjoy visiting Goodale Park because of its natural amenities, such as walking/biking trails, community activities, and the various year round musical festivals called Music in the Air and ComFest. Goodale Park is designed with covered picnic areas, tables, water fountains, and restrooms. A beautiful waterlily pond and floral gardens are centered near a playground for children.

Scioto Audubon

Scioto Audubon is just one of the many downtown parks, located within the heart of Columbus. It is surrounded by the Scioto River on the Whittier Peninsula, which is a managed and perfectly designed wetland for local and migrating birds. Scioto Audubon Park contains 120 acres of fun for the whole family. The Scioto Audubon Park features fishing from a boat ramp or on the river. People enjoy the hiking/jogging/walking trails via the Scioto Greenway Trail, which meanders through the entire park. There are volleyball areas and two dog parks consisting of an agility course and separated areas for small/large dogs. A popular three tower, 35 foot climbing wall challenges people of all skill levels. The Scioto Audubon Park has incorporated a Neos gaming system, which is an interactive electronic game for people of all ages. The park is open from 6:30am to 10pm – April through September and 6:30am to 8pm – October through March.

Antrim Park

Antrim Park contains a large quarried lake, 1.2 miles of gravel trails, and the great Olentangy River Greenway. With over 119 acres of land to walk, bike, skate, and jog, the Antrim Park is the center point for the neighborhoods along the river. It also connects with other city parks and the Ohio State University campus. Resident and visitors come to Antrim Park to fish from its stocked lake. Children will enjoy its safe playground areas. And people will enjoy soccer, football, and rugby on its athletic fields.
