History of Harrison Pond
Created by Mr. Harrison, a gentlemen farmer, in the early 1990’s the neighborhood was originally part of New Albany until the rezoning took place. Although the address is still New Albany, the town of Gahanna provides all services and is the school district for all children in the neighborhood. Between 1992 and 2005, five hundred and fifty one homes were built in the neighborhood.

Neighborhood Amenities
Available to all members,the Harrison Pond Neighbors’ Pool offers fun for the whole family. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for most of the summer, the pool also offers free WiFi. The pool offers swim lessons and movie nights and members can rent the pool for parties at a fee of $100. The neighborhood also boasts a big pond, surrounded by walking paths, a gazebo and a playground as well as a smaller pond. A park is located at the end of the neighborhood, which includes soccer fields for the local children.
Schools near Harrison Pond
Children in the neighborhood attend the Gahanna-Jefferson School District, which has seven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school. The school district has received top ratings and has a great reputation in the area. The school district also has excellent athletic opportunities and is involved with the community. All students in the school district attend Lincoln High School. Prior to that, the students will either attend Middle School East, Middle School West, or Middle School South. It is also close to many parks, movie theaters (Cinemark Stoneridge Plaza is eight minutes away), bowling alleys, and other family centered opportunities. It is also under an hour from both Ohio State University and Columbus, which has a myriad of things to see and do.
